Senior Portrait Session: Preston

Portraits

Yesterday I shot my kid brother’s senior photos. These are waaaaay overdue – he’s actually already graduated (as of this past summer) but it just took a while for us to find the time to get together.

But we finally did. The clouds were fantastic yesterday evening.

He’s very natural in front of the camera.

_MG_2384He was definitely channeling his inner James Dean.

We had a good time and it was so nice to photograph someone who’s got such a natural feel for posing! Thanks, Preston.  Let’s shoot again soon 🙂

More images from his session can be seen here.

My sister and her ’67 Impala cosplay

Artistic, Portraits

It’s been a while, I know.  I have had this bad habit lately of letting life get in the way of my photographic plans and efforts.  It’s a habit I need to break.

My sister is a die-hard Supernatural fan.

(Let’s be honest – I like the show quite a bit, too.)

Recently she informed me that she finally had all of the pieces assembled for her cosplay – Dean Winchester’s 1967 Chevrolet Impala.

So of course we photographed it.

Really, the way she put the outfit together was quite brilliant.

This shot (below) is probably my favorite from our session.

She looks like such a badass!

For me, good cosplay is really all in the details.

As far as I’m concerned, this one is spot on.

And I had an awesome time photographing it.
