As I mentioned in the Daughter of Autumn post, the idea evolved into one of doing each of the four seasons. So, here is the next installment.

Out with the old, in with the new.
My former moniker, “Bright Eyed Way Photography” was chosen at a time when things were changing and I was looking at my photography hobby with a new perspective, so that is what it described.
I have since discovered and defined my style, and have picked a new name to reflect that.
I appreciate your continued support, and I look forward to continuing to share my work with you all.
Happy New Year.
From another Potato Patch Shootout, back in November. The theme was, as the title references, “The Puppet Master”. I think there were 15 or so photographers? We split into smaller groups of 3, and took turns shooting each different scene.
We shot in this gorgeous old theater in downtown Idaho Falls. Our models were amazing – tireless, upbeat, willing to go that extra mile for us to get the shots we were seeing in our minds’ eyes.
It was quite a lot of fun.
As shoots have a tendency to do, it evolved a bit as we kept finding different stories to tell.
The makeup and costumes were pretty phenomenal, as well.

Can I just say…this is one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever had the privilege of doing. This girl is a positively brilliant seamstress, among other things, so if you need any custom sewing done let me know and I’ll put you in touch with her.
She’s also a total natural in front of the camera.
(She “blames” that on watching “too much” America’s Next Top Model…lol)

I am getting behind – I know. Class is keeping me pretty busy, not to mention the daily antics of my energetic 2 year old 🙂
This image is not one that I created in one day. It represents the culmination of around 5 weeks worth of learning and work. The assignment was to create an image that represents, to me, what our world would look like without natural resources.
Here is the result.
